The Brahmaputra Fellowship is a leadership and educational engagement programme for students and young people who wish to contribute to society through education and community service.

Who Is a Fellow?

Fellows are selected, trained, and placed in educational initiatives where they support learning, develop leadership skills, and gain meaningful field experience.

The fellowship is designed not only to serve communities but also to help participants grow as responsible and informed citizens.

No prior teaching experience is required.

Role

Responsibilities of a Fellow

What you will do on the ground — in classrooms, communities, and the field.

Educational Support

Assist students through classroom activities, mentoring, discussions, and learning sessions.

Community Engagement

Interact with schools, teachers, parents, and local communities in a meaningful and respectful way.

Documentation

Record experiences, observations, and stories from the field. Your notes become part of the BII archive.

Teamwork

Work collaboratively with fellow participants to deliver educational programmes effectively.

Leadership

Represent the values, vision, and mission of the Brahmaputra Intellectual Initiative at all times.

The Journey

Training Process

Five structured steps from application to becoming a certified Brahmaputra Fellow.

Application

Interested students submit an online application expressing their interest and background.

Selection

Applications are reviewed and shortlisted candidates are selected for the fellowship.

Fellowship Training

Selected participants attend a structured training programme covering key skills.
